OverviewDental Revenue Cycle SpecialistSummary:The Dental Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of accounts, accuracy of account balances and coordinating with other billing team members to ensure billing accuracy.This is a remote position and we are seeking candidates who live in Pacific and Mountain time zones, as we are a West Coast based organzation. Other duties may be assigned.Ensure daily billing and adjustments are accurate and timelyAbility to read insurance benefits and explanation of benefits (EOB)Process pre-authorizations with HMO insurances & Denti-CalReview outstanding claims, follow up on aging for both patient and insurance balancesSend statements with outstanding balances to patientProcess appeals/denials with insurancesAssists front office staff at practices with insurance and account questions as neededVerify insurance eligibility and benefits for patientsCross trained in other aspects of the department as assignedAbility to work in fast paced environmentWillingness to cover other duties as assignedRegular, predictable attendance is requiredAbility to get along and work effectively with othersQualificationsEducation/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentMedical Billing & Coding Certificate, preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience working in medical collections and accounts receivablesExperience working in a dental or orthodontics billing practice or similar environmentExperience working with EOBs and healthcare accounts receivablesOriginally posted on Himalayas
