MissionOur Accounting team’s mission is to provide accurate financial reporting to enhance business decisions, while safeguarding PayJunction's assets and ensuring financial data integrity.VisionOur vision is to empower PayJunction to achieve its strategic objectives through sound financial management and actionable business insight.ResponsibilitiesMonitor the Bill Payments Inbox in Airbase daily to ensure timely review and processingAccurately and promptly process all vendor bills, credit card transactions, employee expense reimbursements, and travel and trade show requests, including related budgetsHandle inventory order payments for smart terminals, ensuring accuracy and timelinessMonitor and manage annual contract renewals monthly; proactively follow up with relevant teams on missing or delayed itemsMaintain compliance by identifying and escalating fraudulent activity or phishing attemptsKeep vendor records current and complete, including name, address, W-9s, and tax setup within the accounting systemFoster and maintain positive vendor relationships by providing clear, accurate, and timely communicationDeliver excellent internal customer service by supporting team members with professionalism and responsivenessEnsure that internal process documentation is consistently accurate and up to dateActively identify and support the implementation of process improvements and operational efficienciesQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including high-volume invoice and payment processing (100+ payments/month)3+ years of experience using accounting software; QuickBooks strongly preferred1+ years of experience with AP automation tools; Airbase preferred (experience with Bill.com, Zip, Coupa also considered)Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including:Cash vs. accrual accountingBank and account reconciliationsMonth-end and year-end close processesStrong attention to detail with proficiency in accurate, high-volume data entryProficiency in Excel and Google Sheets required; must be capable of creating and editing reports and using basic formulasExperience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, etc.) preferredDemonstrated expertise in:Processing vendor paymentsMonitoring due dates and validating contract termsIdentifying GL and department codingConfirming approvals and performing 2- or 3-way matchingAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)Comfortable adopting and working with new accounting and AP automation toolsAbout PayJunctionFounded in 2000 by three UCSB graduates, PayJunction has grown from a bootstrapped startup to a recognized and respected leader in the payments industry.
